The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Employment Specialist to provide one-to-one employment support to adults facing complex and significant barriers to sustainable employment. This is a rewarding role where you will guide individuals on their journey towards work, offering tailored support, encouragement, and practical tools to help them achieve long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised 1:1 employment support to individuals with complex needs.
  • Develop tailored action plans with realistic and achievable goals to support each person's pathway into employment.
  • Support individuals facing barriers including but not limited to; physical and mental health challenges, substance misuse, learning disabilities, and other complex circumstances.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local employers to create job placements, work trials, and employment opportunities.
  • Manage and prioritise your own diary and workload effectively.
  • Oversee and progress a dedicated caseload of individuals, ensuring consistent engagement and positive outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral agencies and community partners.
  • Provide in-work support to help individuals sustain employment and maintain stable income.
  • Maintain awareness of local labour market trends and emerging employment opportunities.
  • Accurately record all interactions using the organisation's CRM system.
  • Liaise with the Managing Director to review progress and plan next steps.
  • Engage with the local community to identify potential challenges individuals may face and take proactive steps to address them.
