Key Responsibilities
- Sit at the intersection of Fortescue’s digital team and brand studio, shaping user interface and user experience across the global digital ecosystem.
- Define, own and steward Fortescue’s digital design system across websites, email, campaigns and other marketing experiences.
- Ensure consistent, scalable and high-quality application of the design system across all digital channels.
- Guide content authors and stakeholders on effective page composition, hierarchy and narrative flow within CMS environments.
- Work hands-on within the CMS to build, review and refine pages alongside content authors, uplifting the quality of published experiences.
- Provide clear guidance on appropriate component usage and manage exceptions without compromising long-term system integrity.
- Translate emerging business, brand and marketing needs into experience concepts, prototypes and design blueprints.
- Partner closely with the brand studio and creative teams to ensure strong brand expression through digital UX.
- Support the development of richer digital storytelling, including experiences incorporating graphics, motion, animation and video.
- Engage directly with stakeholders to understand business problems while maintaining a clear UX vision and design standards.
- Analyse audience behaviour and performance data using tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Microsoft Clarity or similar platforms.
- Use data-driven insights to continuously refine, optimise and evolve digital experiences.
- Collaborate closely with frontend developers, ensuring designs are technically feasible and efficiently implemented.
- Produce high-fidelity wireframes, UI designs, prototypes, email templates and experience documentation as required.
- Contribute to the governance and ongoing evolution of the design system to ensure alignment with brand, marketing and platform needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience delivering marketing-focused digital experiences, including websites, landing pages, campaigns and email.
- Strong background in UI and UX design for customer-facing digital marketing environments.
- Demonstrated experience owning or contributing to a scalable design system in a complex digital ecosystem.
- Practical experience working within a CMS environment and collaborating with content authors.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to balance short-term needs against long-term design integrity.
- Experience working closely with frontend developers and understanding frontend constraints and best practices.
- Strong proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Familiarity with information architecture and planning tools such as Slickplan (or equivalent).
- Experience working with CMS platforms such as Sitecore (or similar).
- Familiarity with project and delivery tools such as Azure DevOps, Monday, Jira or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience interpreting digital performance and behavioural data.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
- Portfolio demonstrating high-quality, real-world digital marketing executions.
- Availability for an initial 12-month contract.
- Ability to work from either the Perth or London office.
