About the role
The Senior Finance Business Partner provides high-quality financial insight and support to business leaders, helping drive performance and informed decision-making. The role combines strong financial analysis with commercial understanding, supporting both day‑to‑day performance and forward‑looking planning. Working closely with senior stakeholders, the position plays a key role in improving financial visibility, strengthening accountability, and supporting delivery of business objectives.
What you will do
- Business Partnering
- Partner with senior stakeholders to provide clear, actionable financial insights
- Support decision‑making by translating financial data into meaningful business recommendations
- Build strong working relationships across functions to improve financial understanding and accountability
- Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the preparation of budgets and forecasts in collaboration with business stakeholders
- Provide variance analysis and commentary, highlighting key risks and opportunities
- Support ongoing improvements in forecasting accuracy and financial processes
- Month End/Reporting
- Deliver timely and accurate month‑end reporting, including analysis of key drivers
- Provide insight into business performance, focusing on trends and areas for improvement
- Commercial Support
- Contribute to financial evaluation of projects, contracts and business initiatives
- Support business development activities
- Assist with cost management and identification of efficiency opportunities
- Governance & Controls
- Ensure adherence to financial controls and processes
- Support audit and statutory reporting requirements in collaboration with Finance & Accounting
About you
Essential
- Proven experience in a finance business partnering role
- Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting skills
- Good commercial awareness and ability to link financials to business performance
- Ability to communicate effectively with non‑financial stakeholders
- Proactive and solutions‑focused approach
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail
Desirable
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent accountant qualification
- Experience with D365 or other relevant systems.
