About The Role

To provide software testing capabilities to the Motorsports & Advanced Engineering team. Responsible for the specification and development of integration tests for the full application software.

What you will do:

  • Ownership in all aspects of the specification, development and testing of application supporting in house developed ECU.
  • This covers specific activities such as test specification, plant model development, test case generation, test execution and plant model maintenance according to changes and test results reporting.
  • Deriving test cases from software requirements and ECU feature requirements.
  • Implement test cases using Simulink Test and Simulink Test Manager.
  • Develop corresponding plant models.
  • Execute implemented tests, report results and relevant metrics.
  • Working closely with other members of the team to make sure the SW developed meet the feature requirements at ECU level.
  • When required support ISO26262 process with traceability from requirement to implementation.
  • When required support ECU testing which can serve as an extension of the integration testing.
  • Support and mentor junior engineers within the group.

About You

  • An engineering qualification in a relevant discipline and or 5+ years equivalent experience of mainstream automotive ECU software development.
  • Technical knowledge and experience of controls and software in the specialist automotive or motorsport field.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow and automatic code generation techniques is essential.
  • Proficiency in use of Simulink Test, Simulink Test Manager, Simscape, Simulink Report Generator.
  • Knowledge of Autosar modelling guidelines in MATLAB/Simulink is essential.
  • Experience developing production embedded software following ISO26262 process is essential.
  • Strong understanding of modelling techniques is desirable.
  • Experience/understanding of test and measurement techniques is desirable.
  • Experience/understanding of CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
