About The Role
We are seeking a Dynamics 365 Techno-Functional Specialist with deep expertise in Supply Chain Management or Manufacturing to lead the technical delivery, business process design, and functional optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics 365. This role combines platform capability with strong ERP process knowledge, acting as the functional authority to design, configure, and continuously improve scalable, secure and well‑governed D365 solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and Microsoft best practices. Working closely with business, IT, data, architecture, and Supply Chain stakeholders, you will translate end‑to‑end operational requirements into robust ERP configurations that drive standardisation, control and operational excellence.
What you will do
- Functional Solution Ownership
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document requirements
- Translate business processes into effective D365 solutions
- Lead functional design workshops and solution design sessions
- Configure D365 modules to support business needs (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance)
- Identify opportunities for process automation and optimisation
- Ensure alignment between business objectives and system capabilities
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and solution validation
- Dynamics 365 Configuration & Customisation
- Assist with the configuration and optimisation of core Dynamics 365 capabilities, including: Entities, tables, forms, views, dashboards, Business process flows, Security roles and access models, Workflows and business rules
- Design and implement customisations using: Dataverse schema design, Plugins (C#), Power Automate flows, JavaScript where appropriate
- Manage managed/unmanaged solutions and deployment strategies
- Ensure adherence to ALM and environment management best practices
- Integration and Automation
- Design and support integrations between D365 and enterprise systems (ERP, finance, data platforms, identity, middleware)
- Work with: Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, REST APIs / Web APIs, Service Bus / Event Grid (where applicable)
- Ensure integrations are secure, reliable and aligned with enterprise architecture
- Support data migration and data quality initiatives
- Power Platform & Platform Governance
- Provide operational ownership across: Power Apps (model‑driven and canvas where appropriate), Power Automate, Dataverse
- Contribute to environment strategy and governance framework
- Support CI/CD pipelines for D365 and Power Platform deployments
- Monitor platform health, performance and usage
- Maintain documentation including solution designs, architecture diagrams and configuration standards
- Support & Continuous Improvement
- Act as a point of escalation for complex D365 incidents and issues
- Liaise with third‑party support vendors to escalate issues and requests
- Perform root‑cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes
- Support upgrades and Microsoft roadmap changes
- Proactively recommend system enhancements and optimisation opportunities
- Provide knowledge transfer and guidance to users and internal teams
- Security, Compliance & Risk
- Implement role‑based and field‑level security
- Manage application users and service principals
- Support audit, compliance and regulatory requirements
- Ensure solutions align with internal security and data governance policies
About You

- Strong understanding of business process design and optimisation

- Monitoring and troubleshooting production systems
- Desirable
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Power Platform certifications
- Experience in enterprise‑scale D365 environments
- Experience of Teamcenter and Visual Factory integrations with D365
- Familiarity with data platforms (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, SQL)
