An opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Coordinator to join the Property & Travel department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.
About The RoleResponsible for ensuring that the business facilities, machinery and equipment run and operate safely and to maximum efficiency and output. This includes coordinating and undertaking total preventative maintenance, servicing, managing breakdowns and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment. Management of associated budgets/cost and management of contractors.
What you will do- Co-ordinate facilities functions to provide both a reactive and pro-active, multi-skilled maintenance service on operational equipment and facilities infrastructure.
- Responsible for planned maintenance scheduling creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of works carried out.
- Increase the site operational effectiveness, mean time between failure and downtime reduction, and manage and implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
- Participate in new facilities and equipment requirements, installation and commissioning.
- General electrical / mechanical production and assembly tasks where required.
- Maintaining high quality work standards and adhering to the SOP’s provided.
- Reporting and resolving issues within the work area.
- Take ownership of the area and products.
- Carry out weekly checks as required, yard checks, fire doors etc.
- Maintaining accurate, traceable records.
- Be proactive in identifying faults and troubleshooting wherever possible.
- Developing and following a maintenance schedule to ensure that all routine tasks are completed.
- Inspecting machinery, equipment, and associated systems.
Multi-skilled technician / engineer capable of carrying out Electrical & mechanical reactive maintenance & fault finding including general reactive tasks, PPM, minor general / fabric maintenance, and business support tasks at multi-site locations. Excellent communication skills and a good working knowledge of proprietary PC software e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & CMMS (preferably eMaint X5). Strong team player, able to work under pressure, within tight delivery schedules. Ensuring designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose and to provide proactive support/solutions when required. Managing the process of the introduction of new machinery, plant and equipment installation in collaboration with all relevant parties. Managing the process of disposal of obsolete machinery, plant and equipment from gaining agreement to write off to physically removing it and its safe and lawful disposal. Demonstrate an accepted qualification (NVQ minimum) in the required maintenance discipline. Qualified to latest edition IET Wiring regs preferred. Required to work to all Health and Safety standards and guidelines. Experience of hazardous voltage equipment / working an advantage.
