An opportunity has arisen for a Composite & Team Mechanical Support to join the Jaguar TCS Racing department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.

About the role

To provide composite component assembly, repair and mechanical support for the Jaguar Formula E Team.

What you will do

  • Primary function: To bring the expertise, process and hands-on ability necessary to provide the Jaguar Formula E Team with composite component assembly and repair on event and at the factory.
  • Support the Race, Test and factory teams in their operational goals, being able to assist with other hands on team requirements as required.
  • Assemble, adjust, repair and disassemble the team’s composite components on event and at the factory.
  • Assemble / repair / maintain components, pit and garage equipment and car hardware as required.
  • Assemble and maintain race and test garage infrastructures and hardware both on event and when at the factory.
  • Provide hands on support for factory operations as required.
  • Ideally, possess a good vehicle wrapping skillset; able to confidently wrap complex bodywork and garage infrastructure components.
  • Provide feedback of any component issues and problems.
  • Adhere to all Jag FE and wider business processes and policies.
  • Follow all safety regulations in all venues.

About you

Capabilities:

  • Adequate composite trackside assembly and on event repair experience, in a motorsport environment.
  • A confident team player, familiar with the fast paced and ever-changing requirements of a race and test team.

  • Be able to work independently to strict deadlines as well as being a strong team player.
  • To be able to work under their own initiative when necessary.
  • To have a ‘can do’ proactive attitude and proactively support others.
  • Complete tasks given within agreed time frames.

  • To follow and actively enforce the company’s health and Safety and HV policies.

This position may require lifting, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must ensure compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, and all relevant other statutory Health and Safety legislation.
