The IT Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Integration Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting the successful integration of acquired or merged organisations into the company's IT landscape. This position is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the technical aspects of IT integration projects, ensuring seamless connectivity, data migration, and system harmonisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent project management abilities, and a keen understanding of business objectives within the context of M&A activities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with M&A, IT, and business stakeholders to assess integration requirements and develop comprehensive IT integration plans.
- Conduct due diligence on the target company's IT infrastructure, applications, data, and security posture.
- Design and implement integration solutions for networks, systems, applications, and cloud environments.
- Oversee the migration of data, user accounts, and IT services, ensuring minimal business disruption and adherence to compliance standards.
- Identify potential risks and challenges related to IT integration and develop mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with third-party vendors, consultants, and internal teams to coordinate integration activities.
- Monitor progress, report status updates, and escalate issues as necessary to ensure project objectives and timelines are met.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during and after integration, addressing post-merger IT issues.
- Document integration processes, configurations, and lessons learned to support future M&A activities.
Certifications
- Microsoft 365, Intune, ITIL, or cloud provider credentials (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Experience with cross-border or international M&A integrations.
- Knowledge of business processes integration, change management, and organisational design.
- In depth knowledge of Active Directory and Entra ID.
- Demonstrable experience in Microsoft Intune / or another MDM.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365.
This role is based in London on a hybrid basis. Travel is required for on-site integration activities across Europe.
