We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Kings Dyke team in the position of Fitter. Working 4on 4 off Days & Nights The successful applicant will be required to accurately record and present the day to day tasks to the Management with a good understanding of Mechanical theory. The applicant should have effective communication skills and have a good understanding of H&S, Loller and PUWER policy’s. As well as Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Welding / Cutting. They will be expected to continue training on specific Equipment where compulsory, with other training given, if so required. They will also be responsible for the day-to-day H & S, environmental compliance, quality control and other company procedures, along with the knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments, to ensure production levels of the required quality are achieved at optimum cost and safely. Your duties would include but not limited to the following: To organise stores items and ensure stores is correctly stocked to minimise breakdown times. You will respond to and act upon the fault report system. (CMMS, SQCDP, OEE..) You will carry out preventative maintenance daily and installation of new equipment as required. Health and Safety of self and others. (Golden Rules) Conducting preventative and planned maintenance. Using Pirana CMMS, OEE Dealing with plant break downs. Carry shut down preparatory work. Ensure effective communication through daily log book entries. Maintaining department and site housekeeping standards. Participating in continuous site improvement. Work with engineering contractors as required. Maintain, inspect and test site services as and when required. Ensure the integrity of the stores by booking out items and communicating zero stock items and re-ordering as required. To provide shift cover when necessary About You: Experience of industrial installations and control systems. The ability to fault find and test automated machinery. Knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics (Primarily). Welding and Cutting experience would be advantageous. Effective communication skills. A good understanding of health and safety is essential. To be self motivated and able to work on own initiative.
