We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Measham team in the position of Maintenance Engineer. The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a maintenance team working continental shifts (4 on 4 off) rotating days and nights. The aim is to ensure the highest availability and reliability of the process equipment.

Your duties would include but not limited to the following:

  • To work safely at all times and ensure all safety standards are always adhered to.
  • React quickly and efficiently to any breakdowns.
  • Maintenance reporting through CMMS system.
  • Breakdown Reporting through major breakdown reports (MBR’S).
  • Completion of TPM/PPM activities.
  • To constantly monitor each stage of the production process.
  • Ensure correct spare parts are fitted to a high standard.
  • Rectify all stoppages/malfunctions asking for assistance when needed.
  • Ensure all housekeeping duties are carried out as and when required.
  • Report all irregularities/health & safety issues to plant managers/shift managers.
  • Adherence to site LOTOTO procedure.
  • Maintain production budgeted output, Quality and Yields by effective servicing and repairs of the machines.
  • Continuous improvement Activities and project work.

As part of a small team, you will work using your own initiative making decisions as the need arises, this will include all possible mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis and repairs, as well as continuous improvement activities. A shift manager will be available to guide decision making. You will need a good working knowledge of automated equipment and be competent in fault diagnosis on general mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. It will be part of your job function to understand the production process and the machine operations as well as relating any issues to Electrical/mechanical faults. Standard modern control systems will be used throughout the plant including inverters, and most types of sensors (both analogue and digital), and safety devices. It will be part of your job function to understand the systems operation and relate it to Electrical/Mechanical faults. Some specialist training may be required which could involve staying away from home. (Expenses can be claimed). Compliance with all health safety and environmental regulations. Ensure that PPE issued is kept and maintained in good condition and adherence to site P.P.E policy. Other duties as delegated by management.

About you:

The job requires formal education or qualification within the field. Ideally an apprenticeship. Any additional formal training such as IOSH, IPAF, Siemens, FANUC would be highly beneficial. Training requirements during employment:
