We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Desford team in the position of Maintenance Engineer L1. The successful candidate will be part of the site maintenance team, active in both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities. As a maintenance engineer, you are responsible for rectifying all mechanical malfunctions/breakdowns in a safe manner, to ensure the continuity and productivity of the plant. The role will require 100% commitment to a zero-tolerance safety and continuous improvement culture.
Your duties would include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintenance reporting through CMMS system
- Breakdown Reporting through MBR’s
- Completion of TPM/PPM activities
- To constantly monitor each stage of the process
- Ensure correct spare parts are fitted to operate safely
- Rectify all stoppages/malfunctions requesting support when appropriate
- Adherence to site PPE policy
- Ensure all housekeeping duties are carried out as and when required
- Report all irregularities/health & safety issues to plant management team
- Adherence to site LOTOTO procedure
- Maintain production Budgeted Output, Quality and Yields by effective service and repairs of the machines
- Continuous improvement Activities
About You: The job requires formal education or qualification, the role does require proof of a level of attainment in a mechanical maintenance field.
