Job Description

To remove stock from the factory and to maintain yard and stocking areas by use of clamp trucks and other yard equipment. The booking in of raw materials when they arrive on site ensuring they are delivered to the appropriate silo. Will occasionally include loading finished goods onto customer vehicles. There may also occasionally be a need to do a manual check of silo levels. Must adhere to all aspects of Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.

To work closely with the shift colleagues, Yard team leader, Shift leaders, Safety Coordinator and Yard manager/Shift manager to ensure the sites targets and objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Health and Safety of self and others.
  • Operating yard plant and equipment with effective communication.
  • Loading of vehicles, unloading of factory out conveyor, in a safe and effective manner.
  • Dealing with site deliveries.
  • Maintaining section and site housekeeping standards.
  • Participating in continuous improvement regarding waste, Quality, plant breakdowns, testing and trials.
  • Must adhere to the golden rules.

  • A good basic understanding of health & Safety is essential.

  • to update all areas of knowledge as required to carry out the job with maximum effectiveness and to attend training/development courses as and when required
  • to comply with all aspects of the HR Policies and Procedures of the Company

Education/Qualification

  • Good literacy and numerical skill
  • Ideally a Minimum of a B1 counterbalance licence
