We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Kirton team in the position of Cleaner.

The role involves ensuring the regular cleaning of plant amenities, maintaining Health and Safety standards for colleagues, and supporting plant/machinery efficiency by reducing downtime. Cover must be provided for personnel involved in the production process, with relevant competencies met at all times.

Your duties include but are not limited to:

  • Cleaning designated areas of K3 machines and the De-Hacker on a set rota, with flexibility for priority situations.
  • Vacuuming dust from the production area floor daily to reduce dust exposure and silica levels.
  • Cleaning and restocking toilets and shower areas.
  • Liaising with store personnel regarding stock levels and requirements.
  • Processing overalls for cleaning and redistribution around the yard.
  • Re-bagging stock, including lifting packs, bagging, shrink-wrapping, and re-stocking.
  • Emptying waste bins from workstations into correct waste containers.
  • Unloading stock deliveries safely and correctly.
  • Reporting health and safety concerns to supervisors or management.
  • Wearing correct PPE at all times.
  • Carrying out vehicle pre-start checks and logging defects.
  • Being aware of emergency procedures and practicing safe vehicle operation according to qualifications.

About you:

No formal academic qualifications are required; however, a minimum of 3 months training will be provided, during which assessment and supervision will occur.
