We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Newbury team in the position of Yard Operative. To remove stock from the factory and to maintain Yard and stocking areas by use of Clamp trucks and other yard equipment ensuring the appropriate Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards are met. This includes loading finished goods onto customer vehicles and the receipt of raw material deliveries, occasional shunt unit driving and working from the top of silo equipment. You will work closely with the shift colleagues, Yard team leader, shift leaders, Safety Coordinator and production manager to ensure the site's targets and objectives are achieved.
Your duties would include but are not limited to the following:
- Operating yard plant and equipment with effective communication.
- Loading of vehicles, unloading of factory out conveyor, in a safe and effective manner.
- Dealing with site deliveries.
- Maintaining section and site housekeeping standards.
- Participating in continuous improvement with regard to waste, Quality, plant breakdowns, testing and trials.
- Health and Safety of self and others.
About You
A good basic understanding of health & Safety is essential. R T I T B counter balance license N V Q or Q C F level 2 or equivalent.
