We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Marketing team in the position of Marketing Communications Manager (Specification & Brand) based at our Northampton Head Office. This role will lead the development and execution of Forterra's marketing strategy for specification audiences (architects, façade engineers, developers, main contractors and other key influencers) focusing on brick slips, façade systems and complementary products. The post-holder will ensure that brand-level and product-specific communications are delivered coherently, creatively and effectively to drive specification, demand and sales across the Forterra portfolio.

Your duties would include but not limited to the following:

  • Strategy & planning: In partnership with the Head of Marketing Communications, own the specification marketing strategy and annual plan (budget, goals, KPIs) in line with wider corporate and commercial objectives.
  • PR & thought-leadership: Work closely with Forterra's PR agency to secure editorial, case studies, and articles in architectural and façade media; proactively source and craft project stories that highlight innovative use of Forterra façade products.
  • Campaigns & digital content marketing: Collaborate with Digital Marketing Manager to create and oversee campaigns (including new product launches) using the full marketing mix, in particular leveraging website content for our specification segment, in particular with BIM models and specification platforms (e.g. NBS Source, SpecifiedBy, etc).
  • Events & exhibitions: Plan and execute Forterra's presence at architectural trade shows (e.g. Future Build, London Build, etc), façade conferences, and regional "lunch and learn" events, co-ordinating stand design, product installations, and logistics, as well as capturing and nurturing leads.
  • Merchandise & samples: Manage production and fulfilment of architectural sample boxes, mock-ups, and branded merchandise that support specification conversations and product demonstrations.
  • CPD programme: Develop, manage, and deliver RIBA-accredited seminar material including seminars, webinars and on-demand content. Track attendance, feedback, and post-event conversions to specification wins.
  • Market analysis: Stay abreast of market and competitor updates and trends to identify opportunities within the façades and Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) – including off-site construction – sectors.

About You

  • Minimum 3 years in a B2B role within construction/building materials.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering high-quality integrated marketing campaigns and utilisation of the full marketing mix.
  • Degree qualified (Essential) in a marketing or construction related subject (Desirable).
  • Strong communicator with strong interpersonal skills (Essential).
  • Able to develop plans & strategies to support our goals & objectives (Essential).
  • Demonstrable project management skills; able to plan and execute campaigns, coordinating actions across different stakeholder groups within the organization (Essential).
  • Demonstrable success in development & execution of trade marketing initiatives (Desirable).
