We are currently looking for two enthusiastic individuals to join us at our Engineering Services in the positions of Plater/Welder and Machinist Apprentice. This is a fantastic opportunity, with yearly salary increases, to work towards becoming a fully skilled engineer at one of the UK’s leading building material manufacturers.
Working week: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Term: 48 months
Start date: 1st September 2026
Location: Forterra Engineering Services, Whittlesey
The Role includes but is not limited to:
- Ensuring the efficient and safe Fabrication of Parts to specification by utilising the skills taught during your training
- Carrying out on-site maintenance during scheduled maintenance periods and installation of fabricated equipment as required
- Carrying out pre-use inspections and logging/reporting faults as they are identified

Things to consider: Salary will be reviewed throughout apprenticeship. The first year of the apprenticeship includes residential training in Birmingham.
