We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Hoveringham team in the position of Concrete Operative.

This position will provide support within the production team and operate production processes to ensure all quality, productivity and health and safety targets are met.

The role holder will play an active part in the design and delivery of key processes and fulfilling the strategic objectives of the Production area.

  • Your duties would include but not limited to the following;
  • Maintain standards of health and safety for self and others whilst at work.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to the requirements of quality, efficiency and health and safety.
  • Ability to operate machinery/plant where training is provided.
  • Ability to read drawings.
  • Able to carry out self and neighbour quality control inspections.
  • Able to float concrete
  • Possible sub-roles (when trained) within the scope to include but not be restricted to:
  • FLT driver
  • Batching Operator
  • Steel fixer
  • Crane driver
  • Plasma cutter
  • General labourer
  • Loading shovel driver
  • Carry out remedials on defective product

About You;

  • Educated to NVQ2 or equivalent (desirable).
  • To have an awareness of Health and Safety legislation (IOSH Working Safely).
  • To have good effective communication skills.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • The initiative to work without supervision or as part of a team.
  • To have had similar role/experience.
