We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Accrington team in the position of Part‑Time Despatch and Admin Clerk, working 20 hours per week. The purpose of this role is to provide effective administrative support to the team and ensure support is provided in an effective and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Despatch/Drivers Reception
- Accurately process delivery tickets
- Liaise with drivers, Sales and Transport
- Deal with collections, deliveries, returns and discrepancies
- Ensure all visitors and contractors sign in and out
- Daily completion of the Despatch Log
- Post copy tickets to Sales on a weekly basis
- Administration support for Office Manager, Production and Maintenance
- Maintain a robust system for checking and storage of despatch tickets and purchase orders
- Maintain training records ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, delivery dates and invoice queries
- Enter purchase orders into the purchasing system
- Stock control of PPE and staff welfare items
- Manage Microsoft Windows files and folders
Qualifications
- Experience within a Despatch environment would be an advantage
- Computer knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Possess a fun, friendly and helpful attitude with effective communication skills
- Be able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision
- Have the ability to prioritise workload
- Have an accurate and methodical approach to work
