We are currently looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us at our Hoveringham Office in the position of Commercial Services Apprentice. This is a fantastic opportunity, with yearly salary increases, at one of the UK’s leading building material manufacturers.
The processes included but are not exclusive to are Customer Services, Sales Order Processing, Raw Materials Purchasing and Credit Control.
Apprenticeship summary
- Working week: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Start date: 1st September 2025
The Role includes but is not limited to:
- Customer Services: Assisting with customer queries, providing information and resolving issues. Issues are then logged to retrieve statistical data.
- Sales Support: Helping the sales coordinating team with quotes, order processing and assisting with after sales care and recording.
- Supplier relations: Communicating with suppliers regarding their orders. Recording sales data to help with account management.
- Financial/Credit Control: Supporting the Credit Control/Sales team with invoice queries. Assisting to provide any information to resolve disputes.
- Project Assistance: Supporting in the planning and execution of commercial projects or initiatives.
- Administrative Tasks: Monitoring daily sales against targets, handling correspondence and team calls. Generally supporting the team where and when required.
Requirements and prospects
Essential skills and experience:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail with the ability to produce highly accurate work.
- The ability to work on own initiative.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong teamwork skills
Desirable skills and experience:
- Experience with Tableau

Qualifications
