We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Whittlesey Transport team in the position of Transport Administrator. The position is working within a small team to fulfil the administration function within the transport department. The role will include a variety of tasks to assist management to ensure that the drivers and haulage fleet is compliant with both legal and accreditation rules.
Your duties would include but are not limited to the following:
- To meet all customers’/haulier requirements in the most cost-effective manner whilst achieving a high level of customer service.
- To provide customers/hauliers with a quality service for all enquiries, prices, invoicing, payments, rebates and other associated administration.
- To be multi-skilled for tasks within the Planning Department.
- To answer incoming calls to the office quickly, politely and professionally.
- Be fully responsible for calculating costs and processing payments accurately.
- Process and manage orders efficiently and accurately.
- Work alongside the planning team clearing loads.
- Proactive calls to hauliers to sub-contract work.
- Review, cleanse and input data accurately.
- Uphold customer charter and agreed KPIs.
- Excellent diplomatic communication and negotiation skills at all levels.
- High level of initiative and proactive skills required.
- To act as the first point of contact for customer/haulier enquiries.
- To be able to resolve customer queries and respond to enquiries.
- To manage problems in a calm professional manner.
- To deliver a professional service to our customer base.
