As part of our continued growth and an internal promotion, we are looking for a motivated and professional Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Northern Projects division. This is a permanent, full time position and can be based in either Grimsby or Boston with travel across the northern contracts. The Senior QS will have a key role in our commercial management function, providing proactive and timely support. This role will be supporting this established commercial division responsible for the LHP (Lincolnshire Housing Partnership) Social Housing Refurbishment Projects.
Senior Quantity Surveyor responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the company secures its full entitlement within the contract.
- Be responsible for the commercial aspects of this established Capital Works and Retrofit social housing refurbishment contract.
- Ensure project teams meet or exceed budget targets.
- Monitor job costs and revenue to support data-driven decisions.
- Support financial reporting and cost control governance.
- Oversee subcontractor orders, supplier on-boarding, and team development.
This is a small but exceptional and friendly team of dedicated and experienced commercial individuals.
Experience of working on Social Housing Refurbishment contracts:
- Excellent IT knowledge including a high level of Excel skills (including detailed knowledge of relevant contract conditions).
- Experience of Management Accounts.
- Full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel if required by the business.
- Professional Accountancy Qualifications or working towards Facilities Management/Accountancy or Construction related qualification.
- Demonstrable experience in significant & complex multi-disciplinary contracts.
- Experience within the construction or social housing refurbishment sector; however, we are very much welcoming applications from established commercial individuals from other sectors.
