The predicted salary is between 45000 - 55000 £ per year.

We are looking for a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee operations across this social housing refurbishment contract based in Grimsby. This full-time permanent position is working within our Northern Projects division. We will consider temporary or permanent applicants.

This role involves working on the existing Lincolnshire Housing Partnership (LHP) social housing contract, delivering construction and refurbishment programmes to properties across the Northern areas.

Essential and Desirable Criteria

The Project Manager duties and responsibilities include:

  • Organising and reviewing works schedules, including resources, materials and supply chain requirements.
  • Liaising and managing teams of contractors and direct construction/trades labour.
  • Establishing standards of quality on site and ensuring delivery of a build in accordance with the specification and project requirements.
  • Following procedures to mitigate risks of complaints when working in or around occupied premises.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, project team and contractors.
  • Engaging and developing excellent relationships with supply chain, client representatives and consultants.
  • Planning cost-effective use of resources and forecasting resource requirements in line with budget and projected works.
  • Ensuring resources are adequate and competency of the team for the works involved.
  • Securing strong relationships with the client to ensure the potential for follow-on works.
  • Monitoring work to agreed budget.
  • Identifying risk and putting in place appropriate contingency planning.

The Project Manager will meet the following criteria:

Essential Criteria

  • Project Management experience of overseeing social housing/housing association refurbishment programmes.
  • Demonstrable Construction Project Management (external construction works).
  • Previous delivery of relevant projects within the Social Housing sector ideally.
  • Exceptional Health & Safety (H&S) knowledge.
  • Ability to read, interpret and understand programmes, drawings, schedules and specifications.
  • Proven ability to work to and develop operating procedures.
  • Comfortable producing progress updates for the client in preparation for client meetings & internal reviews.
  • Commercially aware, comfortable working alongside the commercial team, confident in challenging others and ensuring programme deadlines are achieved.
  • Role Appropriate CSCS card.
  • First Aid at work certificate.
  • Valid driver's license.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of working for social housing clients.
  • Experience of overseeing multiple projects.
  • Experience of working on refurbishment works - internal K&B/R&M and external projects (EWI/external wall insulation), external roofing/windows and cladding.
