We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team based in either Boston or Grimsby, Lincolnshire. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will provide commercial support to senior surveying staff on one or a number of projects to ensure that projects are procured, delivered within budget and to the highest quality whilst exceeding our customers' expectations. This is a full time permanent role working Monday to Friday, with free onsite parking.
The Customer: This will be working on the Lincolnshire Housing Partnership (LHP) contract.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the company secures its full entitlement within the parameters of the Contract.
- Input of timely and accurate information, including direct operative and subcontractor/supplier information and the application of the schedule of rates.
- Cost allocation of purchase orders and invoices including checking against order values.
- Monitoring and analysis of management information relating to material and subcontractor spend.
- Supporting the SQS in the preparation and timely reporting of information including Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR), Cost Value Comparison (CVC) and management accounts, providing governance of budgets through robust cost control.
- Onboarding suppliers, this will include overseeing subcontractor order compliance.
- Maintain a high quality telephone manner.
- Provide direct support to the commercial management function.
