Due to continued successful growth, we offer an excellent permanent opportunity to join our Fortem team at Orbit Housing as a Carpenter Multi Skilled Trade in our Responsive Repairs team. The Carpenter Multi Trade will be responsible for various property maintenance and repairs in Social Housing Properties, utilizing core carpentry skills and basic plumbing. The role covers a patch based in Northamptonshire and surrounding areas, so travel is essential.
Core Hours
Monday-Friday 8.00am-4.30pm
Responsibilities
- Complete carpentry and basic plumbing repairs to a high standard, adhering to specified turnaround times.
- Notify the supervisor promptly when other trades are needed.
- Collaborate with other operatives to complete projects efficiently.
- Accurately record and submit data using relevant electronic systems.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and tenants.
- Plan and purchase materials required for work.
- Follow safeguarding policies and health & safety standards.
- Operate within company policies, including occupational road risk procedures.
- Use a PDA smartphone to communicate daily updates on work progress and completion.
Requirements
- Essential: NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent, or qualified by experience.
- Full UK driving license (max 5 points).
- Desirable: Experience in social housing.
