The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, analysing, and refining mechanical and system designs to meet project specifications and industry standards. Duties

  • Perform root cause analysis to identify issues in existing systems and implement effective solutions.
  • Utilise MATLAB, Simulink, and LabVIEW for system modelling, simulation, and control system development.
  • Design and analyse control systems incorporating Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to optimise operational efficiency.
  • Apply GD&T principles to ensure manufacturing feasibility and quality standards are met.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation including schematics, drawings, and reports for project review and approval.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical components with electronic systems during the system design process.
  • Conduct testing and validation of prototypes or systems to verify functionality and performance against specifications.
  • Assist in troubleshooting complex system issues through detailed analysis and testing procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in mechanical design, system design, or related engineering fields.
  • Autodesk Inventor - essential.
  • Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and understanding of automation principles.
  • Solid understanding of GD&T standards for precise mechanical component design.
