We have a new opportunity to join our Fortem Repairs and Maintenance team for 6 months on a fixed term contract at Stonewater Housing Society as a Multi Skilled Trade You can be an all round handy person or a trade which uses either core Carpentry skills, or Plumbing skills and a range of other Multi trade skills which can include, Tiling, Flooring, Locks and Windows etc.
The Multi Trade will be responsible for most aspects of property maintenance and repairs to Social Housing Properties covering a patch across Taunton, Yeovil and Surrounding areas in the South West so travel is essential.
Core Hours are Monday-Friday 8.00am-4.30pm - Work Van, Fuel card, Power Tools provided!

Stonewater Housing is one of our long term contracts.
We look after over 7,500 houses in 4 different areas of the South-West, from Taunton and Yeovil, over to Bristol and Swindon and down to Salisbury and Bournemouth.
We currently deliver Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Capital Works and an Electrical Service program.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Completing either Full carpentry and basic plumbing repairs work / or Full Plumbing with basic Carpentry for all social housing properties as per the specification, working in a timely and productive manner with specific turnaround deadlines.
- Advising Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required
- Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects.
- Recording and submitting accurate data using relevant business systems electronic devices.
- Affording excellent customer service to client representatives and tenants.
- Arranging purchase of materials required to deliver the works in a planned and efficient manner.
- Comply with safeguarding policy and H&S standards at all times.
- Operating within the company’s occupational road risk policies and procedures
- Using a PDA smart phone to correspond daily with colleagues to update progress and completion information for your allocated work.
- What you will need
- NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent in Carpentry or Plumbing/ OR Qualified by experience will be considered
- Full UK driving license (Max 5 points) and no recent driving bans
- Must be able to pass basic DBS check
