We have an exciting new opportunity for a permanent Plasterer to join us on our responsive repairs and maintenance team at the Amplius Housing branch. This will be covering a patch of social housing properties based in Peterborough and surrounding area so travel is essential. The core working hours are Monday to Friday, starting at 8.00am-4:30pm including Work Van, Fuel card and Tools.
You will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of Plastering maintenance and repairs as required, ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of supervision. You will take ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs whilst remaining within budget and time parameters.
The Customer Fortem’s successful contract with social housing provider Amplius Housing supports nearly 15,000 properties. This includes Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Complex Works and FRA workstreams with additional Planned Works and Preventative Maintenance as well.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Carry out full plastering repairs and maintenance tasks across this established Social Housing contract, ensuring all work meets high-quality standards.
- Take ownership of assigned work, aiming to resolve issues on the first visit to minimise repeat visits and disruptions.
- Complete all tasks within allocated budgets and timelines to maintain operational efficiency.
- Reporting into the Supervisor you will support with site inspections and quality checks.
- Operate in accordance with company Health and Safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Keep up to date with the latest technical advancements and legal requirements relevant to your areas of expertise.
- Execute duties with minimal supervision whilst maintaining professionalism and a strong commitment to quality.
- Remain courteous and professional around the tenants.
- Previous competent experience in a Plasterer role.
- Full, clean driving licence (maximum 5 points) no recent driving bans.
- Must be able to pass a Basic DBS Check.
- Social housing experience.
