Due to successful growth in our business, we have an exciting permanent opportunity to join Fortem Solutions as a Kitchen Fitter within the planned works team. You will be doing full rip out and re-installing new kitchens for our social housing contract based in Coventry, Stratford upon Avon and the surrounding areas. Working Monday-Friday 8.00am-4.30pm with Company Van, Fuel card and Tools provided.

The Customer: Fortem’s contract with Orbit Housing covers over 17,000 houses across Stratford-upon-Avon, Coventry, Nuneaton, Northampton, Milton Keynes and Bedford. We have multiple workstreams, including Planned works, Re-Roofing, Repairs & Maintenance, Voids and Capital Works. We’re proud to say we were winners of branch of the year here at Fortem in 2024.

Duties and Responsibilities: The role will involve installation of kitchens for a planned program of works for Social Housing properties, ensuring all pieces of work undertaken are completed to a high standard with the minimum of supervision. You will take ownership of the installation of the kitchens, along with the rest of the team, making sure to operate within the company Health and Safety guidelines and remain up to date with technical and legal requirements of your skill area.

What you will need: The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Essential: NVQ/qualifications in relation to relevant trade (Carpentry or Plumbing) or equivalent, however anyone qualified by experience will also be considered.
  • Full driving licence (max 5 points).
  • Desirable: Social housing experience.
