Town & Country Housing Repairs has a new permanent opportunity for a Carpenter Multi Skilled Trade within the Responsive Repairs team.
The Carpenter Multi Trade will be responsible for various property maintenance and repairs to Social Housing Properties across East Kent, including Canterbury, Minster, Deal, Dover, Folkestone, Hythe, Tunbridge Wells, Ashford, New Romney, and surrounding areas. Travel is essential.
Core hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
As a Carpenter Multi Trade, you will ensure all work is completed to a high standard with minimal supervision. You will take ownership of your work, aiming for \’First Time Fix\’ on all jobs, operate within health and safety guidelines, and stay within budget and time constraints, while maintaining a courteous and professional attitude towards tenants.
The Customer
Town & Country Housing Repairs provides comprehensive Repairs and Maintenance, Voids, and Retrofit services to nearly 9,000 homes. Their business plan aims to double in size and value, offering growth and development opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete responsive repairs and maintenance work according to specifications, efficiently and timely.
- Advise supervisors when additional trades are required.
- Collaborate with other operatives to complete projects.
- Record and submit accurate data using relevant electronic systems and devices.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and tenants.
- Arrange and purchase materials needed for work in a planned manner.
- Comply with safeguarding policies and health & safety standards.
- Follow occupational road risk policies and procedures.
- Use a PDA smartphone to communicate daily with the Repairs Planning team and update job progress.
What you will need
Essential criteria: NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent, or qualified by experience; Full UK driving license (max 5 points).
Desirable criteria: Experience in Social Housing.
