Description: • Experienced and reliable LGV mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair a wide range of LGV’s. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical experience, and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a maintenance team. • The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills and experience working on LGVs • This role ensures vehicles remain safe, compliant, and fully operational to support production and site efficiency. Reporting to: • Mechanical Supervisor Qualifications/experience: Essential • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent). • City & Guilds Light Vehicle qualifications (desirable). • MOT Tester licence (beneficial). • Full UK driving licence. Key Responsibilities: • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on LGVs, trailers, and associated fleet vehicles • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults • Ensure all work meets DVSA, manufacturer, and company compliance requirements • Complete preventative maintenance tasks and defect rectification • Replace and repair components such as brakes, clutches, suspension, steering systems, gearboxes, and engines • Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve fault codes • Conduct roadside breakdown repairs when required • Maintain accurate job sheets, service records, and inspection documentation • Keep the workshop and equipment safe, clean, and well maintained • Follow safe systems of work and support continuous improvement activities Key Skills: • Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • High attention to detail and commitment to safety • Good communication and reporting skills • Ability to work in a fast paced workshop environment • Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise workload #J-18808-Ljbffr
