We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Operative / Semi-Skilled Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will support site operations, assist trades, and carry out a range of labouring and semi-skilled tasks while maintaining high standards of health, safety, and productivity. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with construction experience looking to develop their skills on major infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting skilled trades and site supervisors with daily operations.
- General labouring duties including lifting, loading, and site housekeeping.
- Operating basic hand and power tools safely.
- Assisting with installation, maintenance, and construction works.
- Moving materials and equipment around site.
- Following site health and safety procedures at all times.
- Supporting the completion of project tasks to required quality standards.
- Reporting hazards, defects, and safety concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a construction, civil engineering, or industrial environment.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Good understanding of site health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude.
- Willingness to undertake a Drugs & Alcohol Test where required.
- Full UK driving licence desirable but not essential.
