The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
The candidate will work independently to ensure Professional Indemnity & US Liability Insurance risks are captured within Fortegra’s systems. This is imperative to feed Fortegra accounting systems, provide MI to reinsurers, underwriters and for portfolio management purposes. Undertake sanction/compliance checks on risks and handle internal/external data requests. Manage data input/output in relation to delegated contracts. Support underwriting team with underwriting administration as required. Additional duties to manage underwriting and pricing data quality, output, MI. Review and manage MI for risks written and wider support across portfolio where required. The scope mainly covers Professional Indemnity, Financial Lines and Casualty classes for business in the UK and Europe, North America, and some international business & US Liability risks. Will be a work in the office role.
Key Accountabilities
- Data input into IMS policy system & other Fortegra systems
- Management of underwriting bordereaux systems
- Sanction / compliance checking of risks
- Management of input/output of data re market systems e.g., PPL
- Support underwriting team with underwriting administration as required
- Management of data from delegated clients and within Fortegra systems
- Monitoring of EPI against plan
- Management of underwriting bordereau
- Close liaison with underwriting team to support
- Provide underwriting and pricing MI / portfolio management support to the underwriting team and management team
- Liaise with actuarial, finance, legal, claims, operations, and compliance
- Production of monthly/quarterly underwriting, sales, and claims reports
- Assist in the production of distributor Product Oversight and Governance (POG) papers where required
- Ensure products are designed and priced within the general regulatory framework for each territory
- Support new business due diligence, onboarding, annual review, and renewal processes
- Support underwriting audits and technical file reviews including management of action plans
- Embrace new technology, implementation of systems and processes and support file sharing and document storage
- Liaise with Operations and Finance around any queries
- Liaise with Claims and TPA Partners
- Update all data points monthly via all internal systems
- Adhere to administrative tasks required within the underwriting team
- Production of UW MI reports and analysis for risk management and portfolio oversight purposes
- Production of exposure and risk data for regulatory reporting
- Management of policy wording and IPID library, ensuring version control across all UW documents through liaison with UWs, MGAs and brokers
- Supporting lead UWs with review of UW and bdx to ensure
Skills & Competencies
- Understanding of underwriting process and underwriting administration
- Understanding of insurance contract/slip and terminology
- London market and / or regional UK market experience essential (Insurer or MGA)
- Strong work ethic required to work within a dynamic team in growth mode
