  • Primary Responsibilities Include
  • Assist in the preparation of United Kingdom, Belgium, Malta and Eastern European corporation tax filings with the assistance of 3 party consultants;
  • Maintain Senior Accounting Officer controls environment by adhering to requirements and updating documentation;
  • Develop strong relationships with various finance departments to maximize opportunities for automation of data and ensure completeness, accuracy, and efficiency;
  • Prepare quarterly corporate income tax estimates, including remittance of payments and journal entries;
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns for Belgium, UK, and Malta entities;
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly insurance premium tax returns with the assistance of 3 party consultants;
  • Prepare the Annual PAYE Settlement Agreement calculation and develop a process for efficient data collection throughout the year;
  • Prepare transfer pricing documentation with the assistance of 3rd party consultants;
  • Assist with the preparation of OECD/Pillar II data requirements;
  • Assist with inquiries from government authorities, including notice resolution and audits;
  • Understand and conduct research on tax issues to support inquiries from the business;
  • Identify and implement technological and procedural improvements with a strong commitment to detail;
  • Assist in other general tax projects, as needed.

Experience And Education

  • Experience of 1-3 years working in the corporate tax function and/or a public accounting/tax advisory firm preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Qualified ATT or part qualified ACA/ACCA ok. Part qualified CTA preferred.
  • Excellent project management skills with proactive approach towards driving quality results.
  • Intermediate Excel skills to manipulate large volumes of data.
  • Experience of large company general ledger systems such as Oracle to interrogate ledger account postings, run Trial Balances and make journal postings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization and articulate complex information.
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment with small team.
