Role Summary: The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a high-impact "door opener" responsible for identifying and engaging B2B decision-makers across the UK and US markets. This role exists to drive revenue growth by transforming cold prospects into qualified discovery meetings through personalized, multi-channel outreach. This is a full-time, remote (global) position at a mid-level seniority, designed for a self-motivated hunter who thrives on autonomy rather than micromanagement.
Work Setup & Collaboration:
- Location & Hours: Fully remote and global; requires at least 2 hours of overlap with GMT for asynchronous syncs and team updates.
- Autonomy: High level of trust with no surveillance software; success is measured by pipeline movement and output quality rather than activity volume alone.
- Collaboration: Direct, asynchronous coordination with the sales team to refine messaging and optimize the transition from prospect to lead.
- Process: Operating within a lean, agile environment (11-50 employees) where feedback loops are short and individual ideas are implemented quickly.
What You'll Do:
- Research and target B2B decision-makers, including Founders and Heads of Sales, within the professional services sector.
- Execute multi-channel sequences across email, LinkedIn, and cold calls to generate high-intent discovery meetings.
- Craft bespoke outreach that sounds human and demonstrates deep prospect research, avoiding generic templates or scripts.
- Manage the CRM pipeline daily to ensure data integrity and accurate forecasting of sales opportunities.
- Analyze outreach metrics to identify what messaging resonates and pivot strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the sales team to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads.
- Own the top-of-funnel strategy for assigned territories, acting as the primary voice of the brand for new prospects.
- Iterate on sales collateral based on direct market feedback to improve conversion rates.
Success Indicators:
- Meeting Volume: Consistently hit or exceed weekly targets for qualified discovery meetings booked.
- Pipeline Velocity: Maintain a steady flow of prospects that convert to Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs).
- Conversion Quality: Maintain a high "show rate" for meetings by ensuring prospects are properly vetted and briefed.
- Growth Milestone: Achieve performance benchmarks to transition into a Sales Executive role within 6 months.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven Outreach Experience: Demonstrated success in a cold outreach role (SDR/BDR) with a track record of booking meetings.
- Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the UK and/or US B2B landscapes and professional services industry norms.
- Strategic Research: Ability to use tools (LinkedIn, Google, etc.) to find "hooks" that make outreach relevant and timely.
- Human-Centric Writing: Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to write persuasive, non-templated copy.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience maintaining clean data and managing workflows within a CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive).
- Async Communication: Strong ability to manage tasks independently and communicate clearly via Slack/documentation in a remote setting.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with sales automation tools (e.g., Apollo, SalesLoft, or Outreach.io).
- Previous experience working in a small, fast-growing startup environment.
