We're partnering with a fast-growing, highly regulated business to appoint a Legal Counsel on an initial three-month contract. The role has an immediate start.
This is an opportunity to step into a broad, high-impact role with real autonomy. You'll take the lead on disputes and investigations, advise on regulatory matters, and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to navigate complex legal and commercial issues.
This is a hybrid role based in Central London with minimum 3 days/week in the office.
The role
- Leading contentious matters, disputes and investigations from strategy through to resolution.
- Managing external counsel and ensuring matters are handled efficiently and commercially.
- Supporting responses to regulatory enquiries and interacting with relevant authorities.
- Advising on risk, complaints and incident management in a regulated environment.
- Providing practical legal support across wider areas including employment and data privacy where required.
- Helping to strengthen legal processes and drive a proactive approach to risk management.
About you
You will be a qualified solicitor or barrister (England & Wales or equivalent) with experience gained in private practice and/or in-house. We are looking to speak with lawyers in the NQ-3PQE range.
We're particularly interested in lawyers who have:
- Strong litigation, disputes or investigations experience.
- Exposure to regulated sectors such as healthcare, life sciences, technology or financial services.
- A commercial and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to engage with stakeholders and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
