About the Role

The Country Manager UK is responsible for leading and growing FORTÉ’s business within the United Kingdom.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director Europe, this role has full responsibility for the development and execution of the UK business strategy, including sales growth, operational performance, profitability, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.

As the senior leader of FORTÉ UK, the Country Manager will be responsible for developing and executing an approved annual business plan, achieving objectives related to bookings, revenue, gross profit, operating profit, and overall business performance.

The role will establish the resources, organizational structure, and operational processes required to support sustainable growth and profitability while ensuring alignment with FORTÉ’s value proposition, culture, and core values.

The Country Manager will work closely with the European and US leadership team and shared service functions, including Finance, HR, IT, Operations, and Marketing, to ensure effective execution of business objectives, compliance with local UK requirements, and alignment with regional standards and best practices.

The Country Manager will directly recruit, hire, develop, and manage the UK team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer focus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the UK business strategy in alignment with European growth objectives.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing UK organization aligned with FORTÉ’s culture and values.
  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion within the UK.
  • Maintain full P&L responsibility for the UK business, including forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with enterprise customers, manufacturers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Lead business development and sales activities to achieve bookings, revenue, and profitability targets.
  • Ensure operational excellence across project delivery, managed services, customer support, and commercial activities.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop employees while building a strong leadership culture.
  • Collaborate with European leadership and shared service teams to leverage best practices, expertise, and resources across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Provide regular business reviews, forecasts, and performance reports to the Managing Director Europe.

Qualifications

  • Strong executive business leadership and financial planning skills, including the ability to build profitable and scalable business units with accountable plans, forecasting, and performance benchmarks.
  • Proven experience leading a business unit, country organization, or regional operation, successfully delivering profitable growth and customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic business plans.
  • Strong leadership and talent development capabilities aligned with a values-driven and customer-focused culture.
  • Experience within the audiovisual, workplace technology, unified communications, managed services, IT services, or systems integration industry.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise sales, project delivery, service operations, and customer success management.
  • Experience managing P&L responsibility and driving financial performance.
  • Ability to develop leaders and empower management teams within clearly defined policies, procedures, and budgets.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, contracts, proposals, scopes of work, technical procedures, and operational performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong computer literacy and business systems experience, including ERP and CRM platforms.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and operational procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from executive leadership, customers, partners, employees, and the general public.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the United Kingdom, Europe, and internationally as required.
  • Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience building, scaling, or transforming a business within a growth-oriented environment.
  • Established network within the UK AV, collaboration, workplace technology, or managed services market.
  • Experience working within an international or matrix organizational structure.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams Rooms, collaboration technologies, managed services, digital workplace solutions, and emerging workplace trends.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers and delivering complex technology solutions across multiple industries.
