We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Lead who would be joining at a critical time in this scale-up's existence. This role requires someone who is happy to get their hands dirty from a coding perspective, is adept in solutions and technical architecture, and has experience delivering critical, e-commerce led projects.

The core focuses of this role include:

  • Hands-on experience coding with Python
  • Software Engineering leadership & management of a multi-faceted technical team (8+ engineers, DevOps, etc.)
  • Strong experience in implementing and leading Agile processes, with a special focus on tying engineering teams across continents to an effective Agile process
  • Thought leadership & future focus regarding the use of technology
  • R&D mindset as well as effective execution on significant technology initiatives such as Microservices, Cloud migrations, scalability, etc.
  • Ability to empathise and motivate the engineering team
  • Experience in talent identification and recruitment of engineers while fostering a culture of high performance in software engineering teams
