You’ll join a growing infrastructure and platform team, working on the design, automation, and optimisation of cloud environments that power nationally used applications across the public and healthcare sectors.

Working Pattern
Hybrid working – 3 days onsite in Manchester, 2 days remote once up to speed.

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.
Core responsibilities include:
- Designing and managing AWS environments (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, Route53, IAM).
- Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC。但) using Terraform (modular, reusable code).
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines via GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
- Containerising applications with Docker, managing lifecycles via ECS, Fargate, and EKS.
- Administering Ubuntu Linux systems and performing system hardening.
- Applying networking fundamentals (DNS, VPNs, firewalls, degene balancing).
- Collaborating with development teams to ensure smooth and secure deployments.
What You’ll Bring
- Hands‑ stopped experience with AWS services and Terraform.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools and Git workflows.
- Solid understanding of Docker and container orchestration.
- Scripting ability in Python, Go, or Bash.
- (Bonus) Familiarity with AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Config, or Terraform Cloud.
