We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at a dynamic expanding GP Practice in the heart of Surrey. We offer excellent learning and development opportunities, a competitive salary and leave allowance. Experience in Primary care preferred but willing to offer training for the right candidate.

Main duties of the job

  • Support safe, accurate, and timely repeat prescribing processes
  • Undertake medicines reconciliation from hospital discharge summaries
  • Respond to medication queries from patients and staff
  • Support prescribing quality targets (e.g. QOF) and cost-effective prescribing
  • Assist with audits, safety searches, and medicines optimisation initiatives
  • Share medicines safety alerts and manage supply issue communications
  • Support patient education and awareness around medicines use

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our primary care team. You will support safe and effective medicines management, focusing on repeat prescribing, medicines optimisation, and improving patient outcomes.

Person Specification

  • Relevant qualification or completed apprenticeship (EPA)
  • Strong IT, organisational, and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Experience in primary care
  • Knowledge of EMIS clinical system
