My client is a fast-growing technology-enabled business operating within the digital payments and retail solutions space. Following a period of significant growth, international expansion, and operational transformation, they are now entering the next phase of their scale-up journey. With a newly launched five-year strategy focused on operational resilience, systems enhancement, and international growth, the business is investing heavily in technology, process improvement, and organisational capability. This includes the continued development of a major ERP transformation programme alongside a broad portfolio of operational and technology-led initiatives.

As part of this growth, my client is looking to appoint a Project Manager who can help drive strategic projects across the business and support the organisation through its next phase of expansion.

The Role

This is a newly created role that will play a key part in shaping and delivering projects across technology, operations, and business transformation. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives, improve delivery governance, and ensure projects are aligned to wider commercial objectives. Whilst the business is currently in the latter stages of an ERP implementation, this role will primarily focus on post-go-live initiatives, continuous improvement projects, additional system integrations/modules, operational process enhancement, and future transformation activity. The role will initially report into the CEO, before transitioning under a future COO hire as the business continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate multiple business and technology projects simultaneously
  • Support post-ERP transformation activity including integrations, enhancements, and operational improvements
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, RAID logs, and governance reporting
  • Work closely with operational, technical, finance, and leadership teams to define project scope and priorities
  • Manage project risks, dependencies, budgets, and stakeholder expectations
  • Drive improvements in project delivery processes, governance, and reporting standards
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Support business change initiatives linked to scaling operations and international growth
  • Deliver regular project updates to senior leadership teams
  • Contribute to the development of long-term project management capability within the organisation

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering business and technology-focused projects
  • Previous exposure to ERP implementation programmes or post-go-live support activity
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work directly with senior leadership
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across operations and technology
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational, communication, and reporting skills
  • Comfortable working within a growing SME or scale-up environment
  • Solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to operate autonomously
  • Experience working with project governance methodologies and delivery frameworks
  • Strong Microsoft Office and project reporting capability

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within retail, fintech, payments, e-commerce, or technology-led businesses
  • Exposure to operational transformation or process improvement programmes
  • Experience supporting international or multi-market business operations

Benefits

  • Opportunity to join a growing international business during a major transformation phase
  • High level of exposure to senior leadership and strategic initiatives
  • Long-term progression opportunities as the organisation scales
  • Collaborative and entrepreneurial working environment
  • Flexibility for hybrid working following initial onboarding period
  • Competitive salary and benefits package

Additional Information

The role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys being embedded within the business and working closely with operational teams. The successful candidate will be expected to spend the majority of their time on-site during the initial onboarding and integration period. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager looking to step into a broad, business-facing transformation role with genuine progression potential.
