Working Pattern – Hybrid 2/3 days in office
We're hiring a hands‐on Bid Manager / Senior Bid Writer to support work winning across utilities and energy clients. This is not a construction bid role. We're looking for someone experienced in consultancy‐led bids—supporting clients such as water companies, energy networks, and infrastructure operators.
You'll focus on writing and managing bids end‐to‐end within framework and regulated environments, producing clear, high‐quality, client‐focused submissions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and deliver bids (PQQ, SQ, ITT, frameworks) from start to submission
- Write high‐quality responses aligned to consultancy and professional services offerings
- Translate technical input into clear, client‐focused proposals
- Coordinate SMEs, commercial, and delivery teams
- Manage timelines, reviews, and submission quality
- Support bids across water, energy, and utilities clients
- Experience in bid writing / bid management within utilities or energy sectors
- Background in consultancy, professional services, or client‐side environments
- Strong understanding of frameworks and regulated clients (e.g. water, DNOs, gas networks)
- Excellent writing and stakeholder coordination skills
- Water (AMP) or energy network experience
- Experience supporting consultancy‐led or advisory bids (not just construction delivery)
- APMP membership
- High‐quality, consultancy‐focused submissions
- Strong contribution to winning work with utilities/energy clients
