Seeking a senior-level Google Tag Manager Specialist with deep expertise across digital media platforms. This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on building and optimizing tracking infrastructure across channels like Google Ads, Meta, CM360, TikTok, Linkedin, Reddit and Trade Desk. If you thrive in fast-moving environments and have a track record of independently managing tagging, troubleshooting, and data transfer projects, we’d love to connect.
● Ability to create, confi gure, and validate conversion events within ad platforms (e.g., Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn) to enable accurate performance tracking and reporting.
● Create and manage tags, triggers, and variables within GTM to track user interactions, conversions, and other relevant metrics across different media platforms.
● Demonstrated ability to effi ciently diagnose and resolve data layer mapping, consent manager integrations, and GTM tagging issues with minimal guidance
● Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills, with a focus on proactive tag QA, debugging, and remediation.
● Proven experience troubleshooting cross-domain and multi-GTM audience tracking for Google Ads, Meta, and Trade Desk
● Strong ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot data layers to ensure events are passed correctly into GTM and downstream platforms
● Experience collecting, encrypting, and transferring user identifi ers (e.g., hashed emails, Ramp IDs) into external partners or data marketplaces (e.g., TransUnion, Narrative.io)
● Strong understanding of pixel piggybacking best practices to optimize GTM tag architecture and minimize performance overhead.
● Ability to independently manage tag audits, resolve discrepancies in tracking, and maintain high-quality standards without constant oversight.
● Ability to take full ownership of tagging and troubleshooting projects from discovery to resolution, including prioritizing issues based on business impact.
● Proven expertise in implementing and troubleshooting Google Tag Manager setups for multi-channel media tracking (Google Ads, CM360, Meta, TikTok, Trade Desk, Reddit, Linkedin, etc).
● Hands-on experience configuring server-side GTM or advanced tagging setups
● Working knowledge of GA4 event-based tracking is required; proficiency a plus
● Experience using tag troubleshooting tools such as Google Tag Assistant, Meta Pixel Helper, Charles Proxy, or browser developer tools.
● Strong understanding of website analytics and data-driven decision-making processes.
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
● Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
● Strong communication skills to effectively gather requirements, explain technical concepts, and provide recommendations.
● Experience working with cause and education clients is a plus.
