We are seeking an experienced Delivery Director to lead the successful delivery of large-scale technology and business transformation programmes across a diverse client portfolio. This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing complex programme delivery, managing high-performing teams, and ensuring exceptional client outcomes in fast-paced, evolving environments.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology-led transformation, with experience gained within a consultancy, technology services, or digital transformation organisation. Experience working with utilities clients (water, gas, electricity or energy) would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the delivery of multiple complex transformation programmes from mobilisation through to successful implementation.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, acting as a strategic advisor throughout programme delivery.
- Ensure programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Drive delivery excellence across technology, digital and business change initiatives.
- Lead, mentor and develop multidisciplinary delivery teams including Programme Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects and technical specialists.
- Establish governance frameworks, programme controls, risk management and reporting across multiple workstreams.
- Work closely with commercial teams to support account growth, identify new opportunities and contribute to business development activities.
- Manage programme financials including forecasting, profitability, resource planning and commercial performance.
- Champion continuous improvement, delivery best practice and operational excellence across the organisation.
- Support the development of delivery methodologies, frameworks and standards to enable scalable growth.
- Significant experience leading enterprise-scale technology and digital transformation programmes.
- Proven background within a technology consultancy, digital consultancy, systems integrator or technology services organisation.
- Demonstrable experience operating in high-growth, fast-paced environments where priorities can change quickly.
- Strong programme leadership experience across cloud transformation, digital platforms, enterprise applications, business change or operational transformation.
- Experience managing large delivery teams and multiple concurrent client engagements.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing programme budgets, revenue and profitability.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging C-suite executives and senior client leadership.
- Experience establishing programme governance, delivery frameworks and risk management processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills.
- Experience delivering transformation programmes within the Utilities sector is highly desirable or adjacent industries.
- Knowledge of regulated industries and operational technology environments.
- Experience working with product-based technology organisations.
- Programme management certifications (MSP, PRINCE2, PMP) or Agile certifications.
- Experience delivering cloud, data, AI or digital transformation initiatives.
