You Must Have
Proven Project Management Experience
- 3+ years as a Project Manager in complex, regulated infrastructure or capital delivery environments.
- Demonstrated experience owning the full project lifecycle from concept/design through to handover.

Rail/Transport Sector Background
- Experience in live operational environments such as:
- London Underground
- Crossrail
- Network Rail
- HS2
- Or other safety-regulated, high-compliance sectors (e.g. nuclear, aviation).
Stakeholder Management
- Proven ability to manage and align diverse stakeholder groups, including:
- Transport authorities
- Political and access groups
- Suppliers and contractors
- Internal engineering/commercial teams
- Can give examples of resolving complex stakeholder challenges.
Technical Fluency (Not Execution)
- Must be able to read and understand civil/engineering drawings and communicate confidently with engineers and site teams.
- Understands construction and infrastructure delivery but does not need to “do the technical work.”
Contract Knowledge: NEC3 or NEC4
- Experience delivering projects under NEC3 or NEC4 contracts is essential.
- Should be able to discuss how they have used these frameworks to manage programmes, suppliers, or variations.
Health & Safety / Regulatory Awareness
- Familiar with CDM 2015 and other relevant regulations in transport or civils infrastructure.
- Strong on compliance and safety-first culture.
