You’ll be the go-to expert for Oracle Simphony POS support, working closely with IT, operations, and external vendors. Your focus will be ensuring system stability, managing low-level configuration changes, and helping push out updates across our estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd/3rd line support for Oracle Simphony POS issues across the business.
- Carry out low-level configuration tasks (e.g. menu updates, price changes, UI layout tweaks).
- Coordinate and push configuration changes and updates across multiple locations.
- Monitor POS system health and performance; identify and resolve technical bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure and service desk teams to triage and escalate issues.
- Liaise with Oracle and implementation partners where needed for bug fixes and upgrades.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and change logs.
- Assist with rollouts of new venues, upgrades, or system integrations (e.g. payments, kitchen display systems).
Requirements
- Proven experience supporting Oracle Simphony POS systems (cloud or on-prem).
- Hands-on experience with Simphony configuration—ideally within a multi-site environment.
- Familiarity with EMC (Enterprise Management Console) and reporting modules.
- Basic understanding of networking, databases, and hospitality tech stack.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with OPERA PMS or Oracle Hospitality integrations.
- Exposure to API-based integrations (Simphony Web APIs, payment gateways).
