Role: Power Platform Developer

Location: Derby (3 days a week in office)

Salary: Up to £50k (DOE)

We are supporting an established organisation seeking a Power Platform Developer to design, configure, and optimise business applications and workflows across the Microsoft Power Platform. This role focuses on building scalable Power Apps solutions, automating processes with Power Automate, integrating data sources, and supporting continuous improvement of internal systems. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions that drive efficiency and enhance user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and support applications using Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven).
  • Develop automated workflows and business processes using Power Automate.
  • Build dashboards and visual reporting solutions leveraging Power BI.
  • Configure and extend the Dataverse to support data-driven applications and integrations.
  • Collaborate with departments to gather requirements and translate these into secure, scalable solutions.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support, documentation, and training where required.
  • Ensure solutions align with governance, data compliance, and security standards.
  • Work with SQL, APIs, and Microsoft 365 services to integrate and enhance platform capability.

Skills & Experience

  • Hands‑on experience developing applications across the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI).
  • Good understanding of Dataverse, data modelling, relationships, and business logic.
  • Experience with SQL or similar query languages for data manipulation and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Power Platform connectors, integration patterns, and working with APIs.
  • Familiarity with Azure fundamentals or cloud‑based automation.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience working with non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to document solutions and provide user enablement/training.
  • Proactive problem solver with an interest in continuous improvement and emerging technologies.
