We're looking for a high-potential financial accountant to join Forsyth Barnes and work directly with the Finance Director and his team.

This is a broad and hands-on role offering exposure across all areas of finance, from core operations through to reporting, cash management, and commercial support. You'll play a key role in ensuring the finance function runs smoothly day-to-day, while also contributing to improving processes and supporting business performance.
The position is designed as a development role, with a clear pathway to take on increasing responsibility over time and grow into a more senior finance position.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the Finance Director with the month end close out process
- Supporting on specific areas such as accounts receivable, accounts payable & credit control
- Managing the contractor pay & bill process
- Ensuring accuracy and control across financial processes and outputs
- Supporting cash flow management and working capital visibility
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes
What we're looking for
- 1-3 years' experience in a finance or accounting role
- Working towards an accountancy accreditation (part qualified)
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
- Organised and comfortable working across multiple processes
- Keen to learn, take ownership, and develop within a growing business
- Direct exposure to the Finance Director
- Broad role across operational and commercial finance
