We're looking for a hands-on Lead QA Consultant who thrives in complex environments and isn't afraid to dive deep into testing, tooling, and delivery. If you know how to assess where a business stands, roll up your sleeves, and build practical QA solutions that work in the real world, this is the role for you.
What You'll Do
- Directly assess and establish baseline QA practices, working side-by-side with teams to understand gaps and implement immediate improvements.
- Create practical 3, 6 and 12-month QA plans that focus on real delivery impact—not just documentation.
- Lead from the front in building automation frameworks, writing scripts, integrating tools, and setting up pipelines.
- Evaluate client environments first-hand to select the most effective automation technologies, then implement and optimise them.
- Work directly with low-code/no-code platforms, designing and executing test approaches tailored to their unique workflows.
- Embed yourself in client delivery teams, ensuring QA is active, visible, and continuously improving throughout the development process.
- Mentor and support QA engineers through hands-on demonstrations, pairing, and practical coaching.
What You'll Bring
- Strong hands-on QA background with direct experience testing, automating, and delivering within complex systems.
- Proven ability to build QA strategies that are grounded in practical execution.
- Deep experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.) and the ability to select and implement the right tool for each client.
- Experience working with low-code/no-code platforms and adapting test strategies accordingly.
- Ability to collaborate closely with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to drive quality through delivery.
- A proactive, sleeves-rolled-up approach to problem-solving.
