Role Overview
Are you looking for a role where you can lead meaningful, large-scale change rather than just deliver projects? We are seeking a Head of Transformation & Change for an expanding client of ours within the Utilities space. This role is focused on embedding new ways of working, systems, services, and operating models that drive measurable outcomes for customers. Working closely with clients and internal teams, you will ensure delivery excellence across multiple programmes while building strong, trusted relationships. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, is comfortable with ambiguity, and enjoys turning strategy into reality.
Key Responsibilities
- Transformation & Change Delivery
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of change and transformation initiatives across multiple programmes
- Own delivery plans covering people, process, technology, and ways of working
- Ensure change is effectively embedded, with clear adoption, capability uplift, and measurable outcomes
- Client & Stakeholder Leadership
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients on delivery progress, risks, and outcomes
- Build strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders at multiple levels
- Confidently challenge assumptions and manage expectations to ensure successful outcomes
- Delivery Management & Governance
- Develop, assure, and manage delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, and risks
- Put in place appropriate governance, reporting, and controls to ensure predictable delivery
- Proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks and issues
- Lead and develop a team of delivery leads and transformation specialists
- Ensure clear accountability, capacity planning, and high performance across the delivery team
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Change Enablement & Adoption
- Design and deliver change approaches including communication, training, and post-implementation support
- Ensure new systems, processes, and behaviours are fully embedded within client organisations
- Support clients through transition, stabilisation, and benefits realisation
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery capability, service quality, and operational efficiency
- Contribute to the evolution of delivery frameworks, methodologies, and best practices
About You
You are a delivery-focused transformation leader who enjoys operating at the intersection of strategy, people, and execution. You will likely bring:
- Proven experience leading change and transformation programmes, ideally in complex or regulated environments
- Strong delivery management experience across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with confidence operating at senior levels
- A pragmatic, outcomes-driven approach to change — focused on what actually works
- The ability to remain calm, focused, and effective in high-pressure, fast-moving environments
