Forsyth Barnes are partnering with a well-established manufacturing organisation undergoing a significant ERP transformation programme. As part of this journey, we are seeking an experienced ERP Data Lead to take ownership of data migration, master data quality, and data readiness activities throughout the programme lifecycle. This role will be instrumental in ensuring business-critical data is cleansed, validated, governed, and successfully migrated into the new ERP environment.
Working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, functional consultants, and implementation partners, you will lead the data workstream and play a key role in the successful delivery of the programme. While experience with IFS Cloud would be highly desirable, we are keen to speak with candidates who have delivered ERP data migration and transformation projects across platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, Infor, Epicor, Unit4, or similar enterprise ERP solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Data Migration & Data Readiness
- Lead ERP data migration activities across the full programme lifecycle
- Define and manage migration plans, data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities
- Coordinate mock migrations and support cutover planning
- Manage migration issues, risks, and defect resolution activities
- Ensure data readiness for testing phases and go-live
- Master Data & Data Quality
- Drive data cleansing and remediation activities across the business
- Work with stakeholders to improve data quality, consistency, and ownership
- Support the development and maintenance of master data standards
- Monitor and report on data quality issues, risks, and readiness metrics
- Stakeholder Management
- Partner with business SMEs, process owners, and functional teams
- Coordinate activities with ERP implementation partners and third-party suppliers
- Facilitate workshops and support business engagement throughout the programme
- Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and key decisions
- Support cutover execution and final migration activities
- Coordinate validation and reconciliation exercises
- Ensure a successful transition into business-as-usual operations
- Assist with post-go-live data issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives
Proven experience leading or delivering data migration activities as part of an ERP implementation, upgrade, or transformation programme. Strong understanding of:
- Data quality and cleansing
- Data validation and reconciliation
- Cutover and go-live activities
Experience working with enterprise ERP platforms such as:
- IFS Cloud
- SAP
- Oracle
- Dynamics 365
- Infor
- Epicor
- Unit4
Experience with IFS Cloud Manufacturing, FMCG, engineering, or supply chain industry experience. Experience working alongside ERP implementation partners or system integrators. Exposure to data governance and data stewardship practices. Experience supporting ERP upgrades or cloud migration programmes.
